My guess is that higher subscriber count makes them more appealing to sponsors/ad deals. Also if it's anything like other platforms (the sfw ones) popular content creators are usually put on the front page, giving them more visibility.

It's for channel monetization & deals with brands/stores, the more "reach" you have, the bigger the bag that's offered.
It's the same for game streamers you've probably seen on TTV/Kick that get deals playing a game for X amount of hours, the prize offered varies depending on consistent past viewership.

well the experience for women is that they get a couple messages the day they start, and then go inactive again. so it really is just the shittiest slot machine in the world where youre expected to log back in every day to try and be one of the first on (re)appearing profiles. i think dating apps 100% fail at the dimension of personality matching it just feels plinko

I live sort of near California City and if you want to feel special, put your location there. You will get nonstop matches on Bumble because the scammers think it's a big city like New York City. When in reality it's a small shithole city in the middle of the desert.

it depends on where you are but I assure you I can tell with 95% precision if a profile is fake or not, or at the very least if there is genuine interest in actual dating. The lack of signs is also a sign.
I've never matched with someone trying to get me on their OF. Those are painfully obvious, it's just that people like deluding themselves.

Sure but they also have obviously edited/filtered pictures and look exactly like the pictures that influencers have on their pages, and of course fake accounts that steal these influencers' pictures. So it's not really that big a deal, just ignore those.
